The Bullet

Once you’ve walked through the flames, life takes on a different form. Any person who has experienced it will know it. You become a different person on the other side. You are still yourself, but you are different. You stop pretending and you meet your fears. You choose what you love and what you really don’t. Shit that don’t matter won’t ever touch you again. You’ve got more important matters to attend to. What those are, is all up for you to decide. Life is a hot shot. You’ve got one of those. One shot. You can leave the bullet in the holster, or you can choose to bite it and send it through the skies. You decide. You think that the gun is pointed to your head, like a game of Russian roulette, but it’s not. That’s just in your head. It’s pointed at the sky, my friend. All you gotta do is pull the trigger and watch it fly. I know this, because my bullet is out there. I may be shaking. I may close my eyes once in a while. But I’m not dead. I’m more alive than I’ve ever been. And if you aren’t, here is your permission to take the shot.
